1. Wander around until you find a hidden gem of a restaurant half the price of others - we found Pappa Thai restaurant off the main streets while doing a walking tour of Sodermalm where we are staying. $15 for great Pad Thai.
2. Buy a Stockholm card - it pays for itself in no time as entry to most attractions is between $15 and $30. This year you can buy a 3 day pass for the price of a 2 day one by entering the code IKEA when booking online.
3. Get going relatively early to make the most of the day, and then discover it's REALLY early because you forgot to adjust your watch when you flew in from Tallinn :-)
Today we concentrated on City Hall plus its tower, a canal cruise, a walking tour of Gamla Stan (old city), and the Nobel museum.

AirBnB has proved its worth again. We are in a nice apartment in a great location. Our host Lucinda has moved out to a friend's house while we stay in her apartment. Apparently Graeme's reputation has preceded him - when we arrived she asked Graeme to make sure he peed sitting down on the toilet! He is not obliging.
