Yesterday we escaped showers here by doing a day trip to the archipelago north of Gothenburg.
Today was Swedish National day, a public holiday with free activities. We went to Slottsskogen Park where they were handing out Swedish flags and had music and folk dancing to welcome the new Swedish citizens from last year. The weather held out initially but by 2pm, when the symphony orchestra was giving a free concert, the rain set in. They had to cut the concert short as the tent roof threatened to collapse over the orchestra.
They have Humboldt penguins and elk in another part of the park
